Visa For Music. Rescuer of the music industry!
I was subjugated by Palestinian pianist Faraj Suleiman, whom I discovered at Visa For Music 2017, his first concert outside of Palestine for an international professional setting. I proposed him to the Montreux Jazz Festival in Switzerland, which programmed him immediately in 2018. The reputation of Montreux added to Faraj’s highly acclaimed performance allowed him to develop a project throughout Europe and in parallel in Arab countries. Since then, he has played in the biggest festivals in Europe, from Reeperbahn to Womex through the Great Escape in Brighton or Mama in Paris. We now have agents in Europe, including England, France, and Germany, in South America and the Middle East. We are currently working on an album.
It all started in the musical village of Jazzablanca of Moulay Ahmed Alami, who brings me luck for a long time where the fairy Aida Bouazza worked! All this would not have been possible without Brahim El Mazned’s Visa for Music and all the doors that this magnificent festival has opened for me since I first stepped on its stage. […]
I would like to thank you for the invitation to the Visa for Music festival, this great meeting of world music. My congratulations on the quality of the organization and the content. I hope to be there again next year.
